Myrtle Beach, SC — Lauren Clever, the owner of Casa Di Clever, doing business as “The Bougie Foodie,” personal chef service, is opening her business for locals and tourists who crave a delicious meal and foodie experience made in the luxury of their home. Lauren honed the idea of starting her own business for several years while working for a local government in downtown development over the past 11 years. Her decision to work with a SCORE mentor was not a coincidence.
SCORE Grand Strand and Pee Dee assist area entrepreneurs and small business owners with advice on managing their business challenges. SCORE volunteer mentors provide confidential, free face-to-face, zoom, and/or email mentoring. Last year, Grand Strand and Pee Dee SCORE provided services to 1,150 small business owners.
Irina I. Agoulnik, SCORE Grand Strand Chapter Chair says, “Lauren was looking for an introduction to the basic steps in small business ownership, and for general overall support as a new business owner”. Irina adds, “a vast amount of information and expertise offered by SCORE was instrumental in helping Lauren to make the right decisions to get Casa Di Clever open for business.
The Bougie Foodie will officially be launched on October 6th with a group of friends and family that have supported Lauren during the development of her business. Of course, there will be a variety of food to taste and show off what The Bougie Foodie is capable of doing. Congratulations Lauren!
