SCORE Keeps You Sharp

You may already know that there is a resource right here on the Grand Strand that matches seasoned and certified subject matter expert consultants with small businesses.

But did you also know that SCORE delivers significant business education to its clients with both in person and online workshops?

A key part of the Grand Strand SCORE “Get to Know SCORE, Get to Know More” campaign is the educational workshops.  “In the last quarter alone, we presented over 50 workshops on finance, marketing and business administration”, notes Education Committee vice chair John Abato.  “We also have an ongoing relationship with Google, where we could learn about how to utilize their products better, as we also learn about digital marketing approaches and tools”.

“We are always looking for new business topics and new presenters as well,” notes Grand Strand SCORE chapter chair Irina Agoulnik.  “There are many challenges in owning and operating a small business, and to the extent that SCORE is able to assist our clients with the challenges they face, it shows that we can meet our mission both with the direct mentoring we offer as well as the group educational offerings”.

In year 2021 alone the Grand Strand SCORE and its Pee Dee branch delivered over 1,150 services in mentoring and workshops. But this not the only educational resource for our clients. SCORE offers extensive online programs for business owners, such as “SCORE for All”, “Startup Roadmap”, “Small Business Resilience”, National Small Business Week, CEO Forums, Business Roundtable, “Leaning Center” and “Virtual Conference” (https://www.score.org/programs-and-initiatives-small-businesses). SCORE keeps you SHARP!
