SCORE Grand Strand and Sponsors

To better serve our clients, small business owners, the Grand Strand SCORE is working on developing strong business relationships with local organizations in the Myrtle Beach area and Pee Dee. In the past year, we were able to build a rapport and initiate collaborations with five local Chambers of Commerce, Myrtle Beach Small Business Development Center, Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporation, and eMyrge Aspire HUB. These connections helping us to navigate the local small business market and to enrich our educational programs and workshops.

Recently we formed the Fundraising Committee led by Ray Wells, Vice Chair and Treasurer, to start building relationships with our sponsors and other financial organizations in the community. Some of them are already supporting the Grand Strand Chapter by sharing their educational resources (Bank of America), and others generously support our grant applications that are focused on development of underserved small business owners and our Chapter operations.

“We are proud to have the financial support of various business organizations,” says Grand Strand SCORE Chapter Chair Irina Agoulnik. “As a nonprofit, we were fortunate this year to secure grant funding from Wells Fargo Foundation and Truist Foundation, and we are grateful for their generosity and alignment of the shared community goals.”

Our tag line ‘for the life of your business’ means that we are here to help small businesses at any stage - concept, funding, general operations, periods of high growth or contraction, and getting them ready to sell a business, when desired.
